Lights
Fog lights on cars are there to be used when weather conditions deteriorate and visibility is reduced to such an extent that regular taillights are no longer effective. Fog lights are to be used in these conditions alone. Why is it then that some idiots drive around all day with them on no matter what the weather is like?
Maybe they drove through a bank of fog earlier on their journey and forgot to turn them off, however I have actually seen people driving around with fog lights on when the weather is dry and sunny so I don’t know what their excuse is!
When they are used in weather conditions that do not require them it is extremely irritating and distracting. I would go as far as to say they are a danger in the same way that someone driving towards you without their headlights dipped would be.
On the other hand, there are those who it would seem don’t know when they should be using fog lights. Some don’t even use any lights and that is VERY dangerous. There’s nothing worse than driving carefully along the road and then suddenly seeing a dark shape loom very quickly in front of you without warning. Please, for goodness sake try to take some notice of your surroundings and weather conditions!
If visibility is seriously reduced, use fog lights and if its not, turn them off!
